Love

The love of God is unconditional and unmatched.

It holds the heart and mind.

It shields them from disaster.

But we often walk away from this true love.

The heart wants what it wants, they say.

The heart, so fragile, desires to be embraced.

To be the chosen one.

The one joined to another in love.

The one to build life with.

The one to say to family, “Come, let us celebrate.”

Eat cake, drink wine, and have a good time.

But is this the only love we were meant to desire?

What if this never happens for someone?

What if it appears to be love, but it was never love?

What if they say, “You should have waited”?

“You should have said yes”?

“You should marry again”?

“You must find love again”?

These are the opinions of man,

painting their desires and what they think is best.

But what is best?

A love that is ordained by God.

One built on His teachings.

One approved and blessed by Him.

It is not limited to intimacy.

Every relationship that connects us to someone should be approved by Him.

When all is approved by Him,

His unconditional love flows through every relationship.
